Ezequiel Silberstein


He was born in Buenos Aires in 1986. Since 2017 he has been the assistant musical director of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra, with which he made his debut that year at the Usina del Arte. Since 2018 he has been regent and musical director of the Orchestral Academy of the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón and assistant professor of Orchestral Conducting at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes. This season he will conduct for the first time the SODRE Symphony Orchestra, the Santa Fe Provincial Symphony Orchestra and the Argentine Music National Orchestra "Juan de Dios Filiberto". He has a degree in Musical Arts with a specialization in Orchestral Conducting from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes, where he studied with Mario Benzecry. He continued his training at the Buchmann-Mehta Music School of the University of Tel Aviv, graduating with honors in the Master's Degree in Orchestral Conducting given by Yoav Talmi. He was awarded the Scholarship of Excellence and the Colton Foundation Scholarship for his outstanding performance. Between 2015 and 2018 he conducted orchestras such as the National Symphony in the CCK, Academic Orchestra of the Teatro Colón's Institute of Advanced Studies in Arts, Provincial Symphony and Stable Choir of Bahia Blanca, National Youth Symphony "José de San Martín" (of which he was assistant conductor from 2010 to 2014), Municipal Chamber of Rosario, Czech National Symphony in Prague, Symphonic Ensemble XXI, Écoute Ensemble in the International University City of Paris and the Meitar Ensemble of contemporary music in Israel.
