Guadalupe Barrientos


Born in Buenos Aires, she studied at the ISATC, at the Opera Studio of the Teatro Argentino de La Plata and at the Staatsoper Berlin. She sang leading roles in La Cenerentola, Carmen, Cavalleria Rusticana (Santuzza), Madama Butterfly (Suzuki), Rigoletto (Maddalena), Samson and Delilah (Dalila), Aida (Amneris), Adriana Lecouvreur (Princess of Bouillon), The Knight of the Rose (Octavian) and Andrea Chénier (Bersi). She has performed under the direction of masters such as Massimo Zanetti, Renato Palumbo, Alex Kobert, Stefan Lano, Luka Borowicz, Ira Levin, Evelino Pidò and Enrique Arturo Diemecke. Recently, she was awarded in several international competitions, such as the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, Operalia and the International Singing Competition Neue Stimmen.
