Iván Rutkauskas


Born in Buenos Aires, he studied musical analysis and audio-perception with Graciela Tarchini and was a disciple of Maestro Antonio De Raco. He studied in Italy, Austria and Holland with Aquiles Delle Vigne. He performed with the main orchestras of the country, such as Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra, Teatro Colón Permanent Orchestra, Sinfónica Nacional, Estable del Teatro Argentino de La Plata and Sinfónica de Córdoba, under the baton of Arturo Diemecke, Carlos Vieu, Michael Seal, Francisco Rettig, Rodolfo Fischer, Pedro Ignacio Calderón, Logioia Orbe, among others. In 2004 he won in Italy the first prize at the "Concorso Nazionale di Formia" and the fourth prize at the "Concorso Internazionale Città di Trani". In Europe he performed with the P. Constantinescu Symphony Orchestra and appeared at the Palazzo Vecchio (Florence), Sala Nervi (Rome) and at the Salzburg Festival. His growing chamber music activity includes performances with the Israel Philharmonic String Quartet, violist Kristine Bara, violinist Oleg Pishenin and pianist Marcelo Ayub. Since 2010 he has been an in-house master at the Teatro Colón.
