Lorena Fernández


Born in Santander, Spain, she has a degree in Choreography and Dance Performance Techniques from Madrid’s Real Conservatorio de Danza. She was a member of the Ballet Clásico of the same city and several European companies such as the Scottish Ballet, where she culminated her career as a performer. She was trained as a teacher in London, obtaining the Ballet Education Practice diploma from the Royal Ballet School and Royal Opera House as well as the Dance Teaching & Learning diploma from Trinity College. 
Since 2013 she has been living in Montevideo, where she’s been working as Assistant Teacher of Artistic Direction of the SODRE National Ballet under Julio Bocca’s direction. She is a freelance revival teacher for different projects in Europe and South America.
