Actor, director, régisseur, teacher and theater manager, he graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón. He developed an intense career as an actor and theater director. He staged plays by Shakespeare, Camus, Berkoff, Pinter, Brecht, Euripides, Gambaro, Müller, Gorki, Jelinek, Calderón de la Barca and Pirandello, among many others. As régisseur he directed Poulenc's La voz humana; Gandini's La muerte y la muchacha; Lambertini's Alice in Wonderland; von Bose's Ein Brudermord; Britten's Otra vuelta de tuerca and Henze's El Cimarrón (CETC); Camps' La oscuridad de la razón and Gandini's Liederkreis (Teatro Colón), Strauss' Ariadne en Naxos (Teatro Avenida); Valverde's Este grito es todavía un grito de amor, Mozart's Così fan tutte and Bernstein's Candide (Teatro Argentino de La Plata), among many others. He received numerous awards, such as the Ace de Oro, María Guerrero, Florencio Sánchez, Teatro del Mundo, GETEA, Clarín, Trinidad Guevara and INT. As a teacher he worked in the public and private spheres, both in the country and in Germany, Uruguay, Brazil, Mexico and Spain. He has published several books of reflections on theater, including Lo incapturable (Random House).
