Astor Piazzolla at the Colón 1983 - Transmission

The Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Pedro Ignacio Calderón, and Ensemble 9 recreate the concert of June 11, 1983 at the Teatro Colón that consecrated the brilliant composer from Mar del Plata. Percussionist Enrique "El Zurdo" Roizner, a participant in that mythical performance, and bandoneonist Daniel Binelli, a member of the sextet that was the last group led by Piazzolla, will perform as guest soloists.
