The Colón Theater releases its contents as part of the #CulturaEnCasa program of the City of Buenos Aires Government and by virtue of the Preventive and Mandatory Social Isolation provided by the National Government to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
The purpose is that culture continues to be the bridge that nourishes and unites us, as long as the suspension of artistic activities at the theater continues.

Set in the glamorous Paris of the Belle Époque, Teatro Colón Permanent Ballet presents this guest production by the Johannesburg's Joburg Ballet, with choreography by the English Ronald Hynd based on Franz Lehár's operetta.

Celebrating the 112th anniversary of the inauguration of the building, and 10 years since the reopening, the Teatro Colón is broadcasting Aida, the opera with which its curtain was first drawn on May 25th, 1908. As part of the Colón Federal cycle, the Teatro Vera in Corrientes, Argentina will join this transmission as it also inaugurated with this title in 1913.
