CONTEMPORARY MUSIC FOR ENSEMBLE
30 YEARS ANNIVERSARY
Directed and founded by Julia Wolfe, David Lang and Michael Gordon, the musicians and artists collective Bang on a Can is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a world tour by its original members, in which this performance at Teatro Colón is included. Established in their country and considered one of the freshest, most active and influential groups on the contemporary scene, the group has created an international community dedicated to innovative music, attracted by their adventurous and unconventional programs, building an environment in which new and powerful musical ideas flow beyond genres and borders. They will perform works by themselves, Steve Martlan and Philip Glass.
