SYMPHONY-CHORAL CONCERT

After the success of the concert 2001: A space Odyssey in the Main Hall of Teatro Colón in 2015, when one part of Ligeti's Requiem was performed, the temptation to perform the entire work as an absolute premiere in Argentina proved irresistible. Composed between 1963 and 1965, this piece articulates the musical tradition with the extreme and modernist characteristics of Ligeti's most outstanding works, being its vibrant its most striking feature: the individual parts are so close together that it is impossible to discern their individual shapes, but their movement creates a highly characteristic acoustic radiance. The program will be completed by a contemporary repertoire piece for orchestra and a piece for a cappella choir.
