POCKET OPERA IN ONE ACT (2016)
Libretto by Facundo Di Stéfano, translated into French by Marion Bosviel
Revival of the 2019 production
Premiered at the conservatory of Gennevilliers, France, it was defined as “a bureaucratic drama revolving around efficiency” by his author, Tomás Bordalejo (1983), an Argentinian composer who lives in Paris. The disquieting subtitle of the libretto written by another Argentinian, Facundo Di Stéfano, is “Chronicle of a Failed Revolution of Efficiency”. A story where the characters-singers and the four instrumentalists are part of an obsession mechanism that one day, for one second, will see the pillars of its logic fall apart.
This production of Office 470 was premiered last year during the fourth meeting of the Teatro Colón Experimentation Center’s Residencies.
