Triumphal - Transmission
Astor Piazzolla wrote music for instrumental ensembles of various kinds. But undoubtedly the most famous was his quintet of bandoneon, violin, electric guitar, piano and double bass. Created in 1960, it was his favorite formation in the process of building the New Tango and he took it up again at the end of the 70s. Inspired by this ensemble, the Astor Piazzolla Quintet was formed in 1998 and at this concert, conducted by Julian Vat, they will perform their album "Triumphal".
