Library

The Library holds a documentary collection of 5,000 volumes whose richness, quality and diversity encompass music, dance, poetry and the history of the Teatro Colón.

Located next to the main Foyer (access by Libertad 629) its extraordinary thematic collection of books, magazines, brochures and all kinds of publications is a daily source of information for amateurs and specialists. Visitors can also consult the historical hand programs that account for the origins of the Theater since 1908 in digitized versions. Thousands of pieces provide a testimony of the artistic work that the building houses since its inauguration and also the passing of the country's history on its stage, corridors and boxes.
